Located on scenic Lake Independence, Baker Park Reserve offers 2,700 acres of natural landscape and accommodations for almost any activity from golfing to camping to cross-country skiing, and so much more. No matter the season, there’s always something fun to do.
We take great care to preserve the natural beauty of this park through the efforts of our Natural Resources division. Volunteers are an important part of this work. Please contact us for opportunities in this or a variety of other volunteer-based roles.
The Lake Independence boat access in Baker Park Reserve, Maple Plain, will be closed at 8 AM on Monday, April 27 for about ten days as the area is treated for zebra mussels. The access will re-open no later than Friday, May 8. Check back for updates.
