Outdoor Education & Recreation Volunteering

Our education sites engage guests with the natural environment and a wide range of outdoor recreation opportunities across Three Rivers. Volunteers play a vital role in delivering these programs. If you are interested in helping at one of our education sites, please contact us so we can set you up to volunteer once opportunities are available.

Natural Resource Volunteering

There are many ways to volunteer and help preservation efforts at the same time. Three Rivers is always accepting extra help when it comes to natural resource volunteers.

Group Opportunities

Short-term and ongoing opportunities are also available for groups. Volunteer groups have been a big help with the many events hosted at Three Rivers Parks, and with larger environmental projects.

Scouts & Youth Leaders

Opportunities are available to youth for leadership and service. Review the Volunteer Opportunities section above. Service opportunities are available for both individuals and groups.

Service Award Projects for motivated scouts are also an option at Three Rivers.

Events

Volunteers are needed to help with registration, activities, water stops and more.

Benefits

Ongoing Park District Volunteers earn benefits such as a Volunteer Fun Pass, which gives access to many park facilities at reduced rates or for free and provides greater rewards the more you volunteer.
