Groups at Lowry Nature Center

The professional naturalists at Lowry Nature Center can customize outdoor education programs for your school, scout troop, senior center, homeschool or other organized group. Aquatic studies, insect programs, animal adaptations, birding, live raptors, snowshoeing and maple syruping are some popular options, and programs can be customized to meet the specific needs and interests of your group. Programs are generally two hours in length and fees are based on group size.

Academic Standards

Curriculum supports MN K-12 Academic Standards. Contact LowryNC@ThreeRiversParks.org if you have questions about which unit would address a specific standard.

Accessibility

Three Rivers Park District is committed to making our programs accessible. With advance notice, we can arrange for sign language interpreters and a wide variety of assisted technology (all-terrain wheel chairs, sound amplifiers, etc.). Financial assistance is available for qualifying groups.

Bringing Programs to You

Naturalists from Lowry Nature Center are also able to bring programs directly into your school, library, local park or other meeting site. Popular topics include raptors, live reptiles and amphibians, birds, snowshoeing and animal adaptations. Programs can be customized to meet the needs and interests of your group.

Fees are based on group size and length of the program. Programs are available for many groups, from small classrooms to large auditorium groups. Naturalists can also host a booth at your event with hands-on activities your participants can visit at their leisure.
