Three Rivers Park District plans events throughout the year that celebrate the changing seasons in Minnesota, welcoming everyone to experience our stunning parks, trails, facilities and offerings. These Signature Events invite individuals, families, community partners and local businesses to gather and connect to nature through recreation and education.

Lake Rebecca Park Reserve

Experience tradition at one of Minnesota’s oldest trail runs! The Trail Mix course weaves though the gently rolling big woods and natural wetland landscape of Lake Rebecca Park Reserve. Distances of 6K, 12.5K, 25K and 50K offer new and experienced trail runners an opportunity to visit one of the West Metro’s premier parks and kick off the trail running season.

Winter Play Day

Embrace winter at Winter Play Day!

Parks throughout the Three Rivers Park District will offer a play day filled with fun programs and free/discounted rental equipment and day passes.

Join us at Hyland Lake Park Reserve for a festival event that includes:

  • Hands-on winter activities for all ages and abilities
  • Interactive nature education and exploration activities, including a trail ride and winter fun walk
  • Free winter equipment rentals: including snowshoes, skis and adapted equipment
  • A winter market featuring local makers
  • Free mini-lessons and demonstrations: skijoring, snow making and more
  • Live music, food, beer and warm beverages
